Respectful Sunday

So this weekend would normally have seen the Shags meeting up for their monthly Stupid Satda ride out and lash up. This time though, as it was the weekend of Remembrance Sunday it was decided to get the drinking out of the way on the Friday and keep out heads clear for a ride out to lay a wreath in memory of our fallen servicemen then. We decided to head to Seaham to the fantastic Tommy memorial as this seemed like a suitable spot to pay our respects. It was one hell of a turn out and for us bikers you couldn't wish for a warmer, sunnier November day. Off for coffee after the service and after Duncan had laid our wreath but we only made it as far as Dalton Park before Ray's ultra reliable (cough) Honda sprung a leak and flung the contents of it's sump all over Duncan's new Beemer lol. Wait for recovery and then straight home for most of us after that. But still, it was a grand day in grand company and our due respects were paid.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
